Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
MAGNUSSON KLEMENCIC ASSOCIATES, INC ("MAGNUSSON", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit magnussonshop.us or make a purchase, how we use and protect that information, and the choices and rights available to you. By using our site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in a few different ways. When you place an order, create an account, sign up for our newsletter, or contact customer support, we collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number, and payment details. Payment card information is entered directly into PayPal's secure checkout and is never transmitted to or stored on our own servers.
We also automatically collect certain technical information when you browse our site, including your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, pages viewed, time spent on each page, referring website, and general geographic location inferred from your IP address. This information is collected through server logs, cookies, and similar tracking technologies described below.
If you submit a product review, contact form message, or newsletter signup, we also collect whatever information you choose to include in those submissions, such as your name, email, and any comments or photos you provide.
3. Cookies & Similar Technologies
The categories of cookies we use include strictly necessary cookies (required for core site functionality like checkout), performance and analytics cookies (which help us understand aggregate site usage), and functionality cookies (which remember choices you've made, like your preferred currency). We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles about you for sale to third parties.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information we collect to: process and fulfill your orders, including payment processing, shipping, and customer service communications; send transactional emails such as order confirmations, shipping notifications, and delivery updates; respond to your customer service inquiries and support requests; send marketing communications and promotional offers, but only if you have opted in and you may unsubscribe at any time; detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activity; and analyze and improve our website, product catalog, and overall customer experience.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share the minimum information necessary with trusted service providers who help us operate our business, including: PayPal, for secure payment processing; shipping carriers such as USPS, UPS, and FedEx, for order fulfillment and delivery; email and SMS service providers, for transactional and marketing communications; and analytics providers, to help us understand site performance. Each of these providers is contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we've specified. We may also disclose information when required by law, such as in response to a valid subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MAGNUSSON, our customers, or the public.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our site is served over HTTPS with SSL/TLS encryption, and payment processing is handled entirely by PayPal's PCI-compliant infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain order and transaction records for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy and to comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations β generally up to 7 years after your last transaction. Marketing communication preferences and account information are retained until you request deletion or close your account.
8. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: request access to the personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information; request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements; object to or restrict certain types of processing; and opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by contacting us directly. California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what categories of personal information we have collected and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
9. International Visitors
Our servers and service providers are located in the United States. If you are accessing our site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country of residence.
10. Children's Privacy
Our website and products are not directed toward children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
11. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is not yet a common industry standard for how to respond to these signals, our site does not currently alter its data collection practices when it detects a Do Not Track signal.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date, and material changes will be communicated more prominently where required by law.
